A sprawling mansion on the Westshore waterfront has been sold fully furnished for $6.4 million.
The Culbreath Isles home at 4942 St. Croix Drive hit the market quietly in July 2016, priced at close to $8 million. The sellers, Harvey and Cheryl Adams, put the home up for sale because they are downsizing.
The sales price is a 17 percent discount from the original listing price, but it is the highest priced home to sell in Hillsborough County so far this year, according to Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, which announced the sale Wednesday morning.
Coldwell Banker’s Hughes Shelton Realtors team listed the property for sale.
The original list price was a “reach,” said listing agent Jeff Shelton. When the list price was dropped to $6.895 million in January, Shelton said he received multiple offers. The home went under contract in early March with a backup offer in place, he said.
The home, which was custom designed and sits in a gated community, has five bedrooms, four bathrooms and two partial bathrooms. It encompasses close to 8,000 square feet, nearly 6,700 square feet of which is living space.
It also has deep water access and unobstructed views of the bay — from the dock, Shelton previously told the Tampa Bay Business Journal, you can “see all the way to downtown St. Pete.”
A deed for the transaction has not yet been filed. Coldwell Banker did not disclose the buyer. When the property hit the market, Shelton told the TBBJ that several professional athletes were interested in it.
“If this record holds for the rest of the year, this will be the third straight year that our team has represented either the buyer or the seller in the highest sale in the county,” Shelton said in a statement.
